What a sad news: how can this happend to me lam leaving….why…..

A bizarre Oregon football season came to a tragic end on Saturday night, when the Ducks tied the all-time bowl record for the largest blown lead in a 47-41 quadruple overtime defeat.

It was alarming to see the Ducks’ offensive crippled without Vernon Adams. The injury to Matt Hegarty made matters worse, as Doug Brenner failed to deliver the snap to Jeff Lockie.

It’s astonishing to me that the entire software appears to shut down when two players go down. Not only was Lockie unable to make major plays. The team failed to make any plays.

The coaching staff, lead by Mark Helfrich, must work hard to improve the team’s depth for next season.

Since Chip Kelly took over as head coach, the team has promoted a “next man up” ethos. That was definitely not on display this season.

The No. 15 Ducks finished the season 9-4 and should be ranked in the final poll. So it was not a bad season by any means. But it was a season that sparked concerns.

This was unquestionably an embarrassing night for the program. That nasty taste will stay with them throughout the offseason.

As I previously stated, the most important issue right now is to increase program depth, particularly at the quarterback and offensive line positions.
