The Dallas Cowboys have fortune and a little luck on their side in the Week 14 showdown against the Houston Texans. The Cowboys were just outplayed from beginning to end by a weaker squad. However, they found a way to outlast their in-state opponent, winning 27-23 and improving to 10-3 on the season.
Winning in the NFL is never guaranteed, and that was certainly the case against the Texans Sunday afternoon. Perhaps the Cowboys underestimated Houston, or they simply played poorly.
Fortunately, the Dallas Cowboys accomplished just enough to earn another “W,” and sometimes that’s all that matters. However, there’s no doubt they can exploit this near call toExcept for the first drive, when the Dallas Cowboys drove straight down the field to score a touchdown, the rest of the game was a hard-fought battle to the end. This was expected to be an easy win for the Cowboys, but it was anything but. Dallas just couldn’t seem to get
anything going on offense, defense, or special teams. Houston came to play on Sunday afternoon, and it appeared to catch the Cowboys off guard. Fortunately, Dak Prescott and Company accomplished just enough to outscore their opponent. Finally, it was enough.The Dallas Cowboys may have dodged a tight call against the Houston Texans, but
they did not come out of their Week 14 game unharmed. Unfortunately, several key Cowboys players suffered injuries on Sunday afternoon. Terence Steele, Jonathan Hankins, and Jake Ferguson left the game early due to injury and did not return. The severity of their injuries is uncertain, but losing any of the three would be devastating to the Cowboys roster. In addition, Trevon Diggs (thumb) and Dorance Armstrong (ankle) will require strict monitoring due to injuries.
